I don't know if this is something I want to pursue in my future quite yet, but it's fun to be in these types of classes. I am a senior and plan to graduate in Fall 2021. I am a student senator part of SGA. Some hobbies of mine is spending time with my dog, spending time with friends and watching Netflix. I have picked up reading as a new years resolution so I have been reading a lot more.
I absolutely love animals and am a volunteer with a non-profit organization called Beauties and Beasts.
I have taken a few courses in CJ and none of them were very specific to just women. A lot of them provide very generalized data and stats. From my knowledge in taking Corrections with Dr. Boppre, most of the data does reflect research done from men committing crime and incarcerated men. I signed up for this course because I love how Dr. Boppre teaches and how I can retain the material presented to me. I also enjoy Dr. Boppre as a person and how she cares about everyone of her students.
I had a few questions regarding women in her Corrections class and she recommended me to take this course. I am hoping to gain more knowledge from data based on women. I want to cover topics such as root causes of crime for women, how women criminals differ from men on how they commit crime, and the incarceration environment. Overall I am looking forward to this class and very excited for the semester to start!

It is great to have you again!! :) Your pup is so cute!! Yes, we only had one small part on women in CJ 391!!! Not nearly enough content. Congrats on your new years resolution!
